Urban Vision _ 2013

This is the final project of my schooling at Judson University. This project is the capstone of the architecture school, incorporating building design, spacial consideration, passive and active sustainable concepts and strategies, accurate and specific code compliance,  full HVAC, fire safety system design, plumbing, wall section, heat loss calculations, lighting needs/requirements and design, etc - The Capstone.

Assignment Description :

Chicago and Illinois are ever-expanding. Conservation of land and materials is vital for our future. I was to design a building of roughly 100,000 sq ft, existing over any 6-lane highway in Illinois of my choosing. The building took advantage of I-DOT's highway air-rights, utilizing space thought to have been lost.

Program includes Residential, Commercial/Retail, Full Conference Center (Main multi-use room, large break out rooms, smaller break out rooms, food service, utilities, etc), Operations offices, a medium-sized fitness center, and a parking garage capable of housing 200 cars, expandable to 350.
